What is Behavior Modification?
Behavior Modification is an effective approach that is conducted daily, to identify the undesirable behaviors and enhance them with more positive strategies that allow the child to display positive behaviors.
Behavior modification focuses on students that show disruptive behaviors. Behavior Modification is helps to dissuade a child from negative types of behavior and promote a continued development of positive ones.

Identification
Identification is used to identify various behaviors, such as mental disorders, anxiety disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and aggressiveness.
Shaping
Shaping is an effective method that is used to acquire a new behavior and learn by a process where old behaviors are replaced with new ones. Shaping allows the child to develop self -control and display positive behaviors in the process.
Behavior Change Process
The behavior modification views behavior change as a five-stage process that focuses on how ready at the child needs is to change. The five steps are: Pre-contemplation, contemplation, preparation, action and maintenance. The purpose is to build and incorporate new behaviors.
Relapse Prevention Method
The relapse prevention method is basically used along with the planned behavior modification method that is a supportive strategy for eliminating old habits. Daily monitoring to enhance the behavior so that
there is no relapse of this behavior. The purpose is to anticipate the weak spots of the child and where a child is more likely to relapse into old behaviors, but made.
Behavioral Control
The theory of reasoned action is a behavior modification method that focuses on what the child's intention is for making a desired change. The behavior control is to maintain a self-expectation and others work to shape the child's intention should be. This is documented by using a Behavior Management Plan that is plan specifically for the student.
